An Interesting Corridor

How do you improve a windowless corridor?
This hotel in Spain has used several techniques to make a simple corridor a dynamic and interesting place.
If you look carefully, you will see the corridor is actually a long straight room. They have created the illusion of curves with the shaped ceiling, highlighted in deep blue paint. The carpet also mirrors this interesting shape. The reflective reception desk again duplicates the softer organic shape and the rounded chairs help to break up any remaining harsh lines.
The corridor then leads the eye to a room in the distance. The bolt of hot pink excites the eye and draws the visitors toward it.
Great ideas for improving a corridor!
