Have you ever noticed the importance of the humble circle in design? From stone circles in neolithic times to Sir Terry Frost's "Orchard Tambourines" we seem to have an innate fascination for the shape. It's also the first shape a toddler will draw no matter what part of the world they come from.

OFIS architects have made fantastic use of circles on the facade of a low budget shopping centre building in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Look at the success that Marimekko has had with Maija Isola's "Kivet fabric designed in 1950 but still in production and very popular today

Have fun using Dutch design company, Droog Designs, "Peep Show" wallpaper over a strong vibrant colour

Just as a circle never ends, there seem to be a limitless use for them in the world of design.
