If you are lucky enough to live in the North of England you will soon be able to absorb yourself in all things Nordic.

Starting on the 18th of November, Nordic Intercultural Creative Events (NICE) have organised a host of exhibitions to showcase Nordic creativity. The annual festival aims to present the best in collaborative works between the UK and Nordic countries and includes work from Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the UK.

Artist Annalisa Guerri encapsulates the mystical fragility of Northern climes with her ceramic sculpture, “Drunken Forest”. She likes to work in clay as it is a “raw and malleable material” that allows her to “build irregular shapes, uncertain edges, wrinkled and transparent surfaces”

With film, food, architecture, art and performance, it looks like NICE have put together an inspiring set of events well worth a visit.
