Look at the objects designed by architect Gulnur Ozdaglar's and you will be struck by the serenity of her work. So pure and ethereal you might expect them to belong in some beautiful under water city. Interestingly though, her pieces are all created from old plastic bottles normally destined to rubbish dumps. As more people consume bottled water, its great to see such stunning art being created from the packaging. She is of course inspired by marine life especially jellyfish but being able to transfer the natural elegance of a jellyfish into old plastic bottles is quite astonishing. You can see more of her work on Etsy.com .

An artistic object like this is a great place to start when designing a room. Use it as a reference for choosing a colour and a mood for your project. There are many almost glass like marine- blue paints that give a room a great feeling of space and tranquility. You can also experiment on the walls with interesting opalescent translucent glazes over a coloured base coat.

Gulnur has also created beautiful buttons. They would look great on a cushion and what a great way of introducing originality in a project!
