The Importance of Texture

We all know how a good accessory can really lift an outfit, well the same is true with interiors.
Many colour schemes can be totally transformed with the addition of a single vase, rug or a cushion. The reason for this is that your colour scheme may need an additional colour to give it a lift, an injection of spirit, some zest, just as a chef would garnish a dish. Or perhaps you need an additional texture to give the room some interest. Natural materials like linen, felt, wool and sheepskin can add warmth to a room that may otherwise look cold.
If you are designing a classy, all white interior, having plenty of textures is crucial. The felt cushion above, "Circle Chain" designed by Cushlab would be the perfect addition adding structure and warmth to a white room but if you are after a bolt of colour you must look at Cushlabs Binding cushion - a real statement cushion!
